When The Moon Wanes...

When the Moon Wanes…

I let go to let in.

I release to receive.

I empty to embrace.

When the moon wanes, I notice the tightness in restricted feeling, the constriction in self-censorship, the over-responsibility I auto-pilot claim.

The noticing washes moonlight through my veins.

Palms open. Exhalations lengthen. Shoulders sink.

Heart speaks.

The disappearing dance of the moon directs the truth telling.

Where am I holding? What am I holding? Whom am I holding?

And how is the holding hurtful and heavy?

When the moon wanes, my senses sharpen to adjust and accommodate to the blanketing of darkness. I stand still in the slither of celestial splendor.

Let faint moonlight brush my lifelines, cast grace into the shadows of what now can and is destined in aligned timing to be seen.

Let the persistent gentleness of waning luminosity weave compassion into my gaze as I greet fierce truths ready to be acknowledged and freed.

When the moon wanes, I re-remember that I am freedom and relinquish the clenched illusions that have been cleverly tricking me.

Cue the energized clearing, the mind-soothing cleanse, the corners of a heart compelled upward to let a lunar glow lend sweet support.

And so when the final crescent of a moon curtsies into the curtain of dark, I too will surrender back to the core of who I am, listening to breath, heartbeat, stars.

When the moon wanes, I soften to strengthen trust – in this celestial phase, in this earthly orbit, in this moment, in myself, in this cosmic rhythm that reassures and restores the connection between all of us.
