The Morning Moon

And there will be a morning moon, a cappuccino fancifully served in a pink glass that’ll fashionably match my jacket, and a re-remembering of breath-steadied calm.

And there will be a morning moon meditating in the brightening sky. I’ll wake haunted from dreams and with an electric tiredness that cannot be remedied by sleep, so I’ll move early into the day, and in my routine will pull open the blinds to see the moon clearly defined in her waning iteration by the dawn. She’ll inspire an expansive breath that will unfurl the knots in my stomach and will carry me into a calm awaiting at the top of the glance up to the sky and at the bottom of the next illuminated out-breath

There will be a cappuccino fancifully served in a pink glass and I’ll express my sheer delight at this pretty, party-like choice. The barista will chime that the glass pairs well with my outfit. Our conversation, that quick exchange will sparkle in playful banter and shared fun, and that’ll fortify effervescence, a commitment to shine, to see others and be with others in each savored moment of fleeting time.

“How are you?” I’ll text, and when the same question is posed to me on the cell screen, I’ll stumble in identifying a response.

What feelings are uniquely mine and what feelings are from the collective?

This heightened awareness to the outer energies will remind me to turn and tune within myself. I’ll re-remember the calming sight of the morning moon, and will merge my breath with cultivating a closer connection to inner harmony, a fervent wish that I have for myself and for humanity.
